Who is Christian Robertson?

Have you ever noticed all the sounds you hear on rainy days? I have. I think the reason is because I love rainy days. It's pretty much a hobby. I enjoy the raindrop's sound when it hits the pavement at a quiet and steady rate outside of my balcony door. I enjoy the subtle roll of thunder that comes every now and then. But I think my favorite sound is when I hear a car roll down the street against the wet road. The sound is very distinctive and like the thunder, you can not tell it's coming. That is what makes it so great.
I always long for a rainy day when I don't have anything to do.Today is one of those days. A day where most of my time was spent in my apartment relaxing and enjoying the weather, soaking it all in if you will. I feel that if I have a super busy day on a rainy day like this, the day is wasted. It is a perfect chance to read a book, watch some movies, or write...
Christian is a Christian. If I had a dime for every time I was in a situation and that statement was made, I would be incredibly rich right now. It happens so much that I actually make bets against myself rather someone will say it throughout the day. It is actually quite funny. As soon as I say my name, my brain starts to smile and I believe it knows that the statement is about to be made. So my brain probably tells my heart, which makes it race. Then after all of that happens, my soul has a party because it knows that it is ten cents richer. However, on the outside, I reply with "Yes, I get that a lot".
I always think of the alternative though. What if I were not a Christian? How uncomfortable would the other person feel if I said with a grim look, "No, I am not". I believe all conversation would probably be cease because of the suddenly increased level of awkwardness that has come up. I would probably get a nice little chuckle out of it. Actually, probably a huge chuckle as I turned and walked away.
I love when I am asked the question, "Christian, why are you a Christian"? I love it because I have the opportunity to share the story of my life and share how important of a role God has in my life. I tell them that my mom did not know she was pregnant with me for majority of the time. She had a serious drug problem and was living life as if she was just living for herself. Finally, she found out she was pregnant with me and the doctors told her that things did not look too well for the baby. I had tumors and all sorts of birth defects because of all the drug use. They said I was literally a vegetable. They suggested that she get an abortion and she agreed. She went to the hospital that day and something told her not to do it. At this time, my grandmother and her best friend was praying very hard for my mom and for God to intervene. Well, He did. She got up off the table and left and came back home to Morgan City. She decided to go through with the birth despite what the doctors insisted, despite them saying that if the baby was born, he would die within a short amount of time. Fast forward to October 15, 1989 in Morgan City, La. a healthy baby boy was born. No defects, no tumors, no problems. I'm not sure if the doctors were Christians or not, but they said that I am a "Miracle Baby". To this day, that is my reason for the life I choose to live. A life that brings honor and thanks to Christ because He saved me before I was even born.
So who is Christian you ask? Well, that can be quite of few things, but most importantly? I am a Christian. I strive to show Godly love and to let my light shine to each and every person around me, and I truly desire to see them come into a relationship with the God who saved my life. He loved me that much. He loves you that much. So with that, what is your story? Until next time...

-Christian Robertson
